May Wellness Wishlist: A Weighted Blanket, Calm Workbook and More

Welcome to our Wellness Wishlist, a monthly roundup of the wellbeing products we love using. Here, we've compiled a list of the best mental health products and services that we are loving right now.

1. Finding calm can at times be challenging, but British (they ship internationally) emotional intelligence organisation The School of Life is here to help. The School Of Life offer a range of mental health support tools including online psychotherapy, online classes, and a range of virtual solutions for businesses. Their Calm Workbook offers exercises to "soothe anxiety", ranging from writing down and embracing your peculiarities, to understanding what makes you happy or angry. It's an insightful and inspiring workbook that you'll want to go back to time and time again. Grab your copy here

2. Trip offer one of the first CBD-infused drinks on the UK market, and they taste and work fantastically to support a feeling of calm. The sparkling drinks come in three flavours: lemon basil, elderflower mint and peach ginger. Consider switching out an evening glass of wine for Trip - you can find it at your local health food store, in restaurants nationwide, or buy online here.

3. Still on the theme of journaling, US based Best Self provides daily structure to help you to optimise your day and reach your personal goals. The planner runs for 13 weeks to help make the most of  your day, tackle your goals and live a more fulfilled life. There’s also a version for kids aged 7+ which you can work on together and is aimed at helping them to build self confidence.

4. Founder's Pick - We all know that getting good sleep is key to optimising both physical and mental wellbeing. Our founder Aliza is currently trialing (and loving) a weighted blanket, which is said to aid sleep by inducing a feeling of comfort through pressure therapy and supporting production of the hormone seratonin, which helps induce happiness and calm. She pairs this with 2 capsules of Inessa Magnesium taken 30 minutes before bed to encourage deeper and more restful sleep. There are lots of different ones on the market, so if you’re thinking of investing in one, consider reading GQ Magazine’s roundup of the best here.

The products recommended are not intended as medical treatment. If you’re suffering from stress and anxiety don’t suffer alone - consider seeking advice from your GP or call the Samaritans (116 123).
