Health benefits of Lactobacillus Rhamnosus GG

Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG (LGG) is a bacteria that was isolated in the 1980s from the gastrointestinal tract by research professors Sherwood Gorbach and Barry Goldwin, hence the suffix letters GG.

Since that time Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG has been one of the most widely studied probiotic strains and is used in a variety of commercially available probiotic supplements.
